Introduction

The increase in International trade is having a significant impact on India’s shipping and logistic market and which is further growing. One of the major hurdles faced by India’s shipping and logistic industry is inadequate infrastructure and trained professionals. Currently government is making efforts to invest in developing infrastructure i.e., Ports, Container Freight Stations and Depots, Road and Rail network. Since the shipping and logistic market is fairly and squarely in the spotlight as far as job opportunities are concerned, few steps have been taken by the government which is cater to very small segments of young professionals.

A very few institutes in Mumbai, Kolkata and Chennai provide courses which are confined to the sailing professionals at off-shore. At the on-shore (landside), back up service, marketing and operational aspects of shipping are still un-noticed.

We, at CARGOLOG TRAINING CENTRE, are making a cautious effort to impart our knowledge and experience to train and sharpen the skills of the professionals who are into related industry and others who wish to start a career in shipping and logistics at landside operation.
